THE CLIENT BRIEF
An integral part of the entire design process is coming up with design
concepts that ring true with the requirements and vision of the client.At the
briefing stage, we try to gain an understanding of the potential use of the
property, a sense of the clients personality or lifestyle and aspirations. By a
preliminary review of the site, we capture the vision of the space through
photographs and or floor plans. Also, we review as applicable with the
Client, all factors such as time scale, budget, and any structural or
administrative requirements. We then finalize this extensive briefing stage
by sending a proposal to the client outlining the brief as we understand it,
with an estimated budget for the FF&A and our associated design fee.
CONCEPTS
We work collaboratively with the client as pertaining to choices on
furniture, ‘ambiance intérieure’, the most effective layout and any structural
changes to be made. This period gives both us and the client room to
interpret the brief to the most suited point. We are very keen on hearing the
clients’ feedback as this ensures we are on the same page.
ACTUALIZATION
This is the point where all theories in concept are brought into fruition. The
schedule is outlined and the team goes ahead to commence works. We
also send in designated staff to make sure that work is going on as planned
and are meeting the required specifications. We update clients throughout
to keep them well informed.
